What are affirmations for in hypnobirthing?

POV you thought affirmations were just for naff pillows 👀

OK this was me too 🫣

Until I found out about the neuroscience behind them.

Affirmations are used by athletes and coaches to rewire neural pathways and to tackle self limiting beliefs. Repeating positive messages to yourself literally changes the way that your brain works and the thoughts that you have on a daily basis.

After working with me, doing their visualisation tracks, and working with their affirmations, my clients often say to me “I just feel better and I don’t know why.”

Neuroscience is why! By tackling the hidden beliefs in your unconscious mind, we can change the way that you react in scenarios which may usually activate your fight or flight mode - like birth. And this applies to Postnatal life too.

Repeating positive affirmations related to our parenting can help build confidence and challenge negative self talk, like feelings of comparison, guilt or inadequacy.

We always use affirmations in my yoga classes, both Prenatal and Postnatal, and you can access my affirmation tracks for pregnancy for just £10.

If you’re Postnatal, watch out for an exciting New offer launching soon.

Let me know if affirmations worked for you?!

I still do them every day, despite my baby boy now being four years old (!) Depending on what I need or what I’m focusing on at that point in my life. At the moment, it’s about building my business and visualising success. They’re incredibly useful in so many scenarios and I’m such a convert!
